Class Of 2021 to give away free prom tickets

SWAMPSCOTT Swampscott High School’s junior class student council is holding a contest for two free prom tickets for whoever has the best Promposal.

As junior prom approaches, many are left waiting for that perfect promposal. Although many people probably aren’t thinking about that right now, the student council has come up with a $200 reason they should.

A promposal is when a person comes up with a creative or extravagant way to ask someone to prom. This can be in the form of a funny poster, a cool performance, or any other entertaining way to get them to say “yes”.

Instead of just asking someone to prom, students should come up with a clever and creative way, and submit a video to the class of 2021’s instagram page before March 31st.  Juniors can vote, beginning on April 1st, on the Class of 2020 Instagram page.

“Prom tickets are around $100,” says junior class president Ryan Henry, “and I think it will increase school spirit”.

All interested juniors should submit a video to @shsclass_21 by March 31st.
