Boys Swampscott Basketball Win the Winter Tournament Championship

The Swampscott Highschool boys varsity team beat the Rockport team at Rockport to take home the win on December 29th  . This win made them the champions of the Winter tournament.

The Swampscott boys basketball team won 67-44. Swampscott outplayed Rockport from the very beginning. At the end of the first quarter they were up 26-7. The leading scorers included Max Pegnato(senior) with 13 points, Jackson Byrne(senior) who had a solid 12 and Andrew Agustin(sophomore) putting up 10.

The team did not win without their complications including three different technical fouls.

Jackson won MVP for the tournament and Max and Jackson both made all tournament team.

The Swampscott team was awarded with a big trophy for their big win. Sadly the trophy did not last long until it broke. As it was placed on the front desk of Swampscott Highschool by, Mr. Fucile, it had broken.
