SWAMPSCOTT– The Swampscott High School Interact Club will host a food drive throughout the month of November.

The Interact Club is planning to have the collection bags distributed to English teachers by Friday, November 16th. Each bag will have a paper stapled to the back with a list of the foods and toiletries needed for drive. Like the previous year, each grade will be responsible for bringing a specific set of items, listed under their grade.Though it is encouraged that students bring the items listed under the grade, all students are welcomed to donate what they have available to them.

Students should return all food bags to their English classes by Tuesday November 20th. If that is not possible, students are also able to leave their donations in the atrium of  Swampscott High School by the morning of Wednesday November 21st. The class with the most donations will get a prize.

On Wednesday November 21st, on Green Day, the bags will be taken to the Swampscott Food Bank.

Sara Hamada, a member of the Interact Club is “very excited for this, since it’s the holiday season for Thanksgiving we wanna help out as many families as possible”.
