SWAMPSCOTT Swampscott High School’s DECA program reached their goal in their miracle minute fundraiser on October 13th at the varsity football game.

In order to raise money for a Muscular Dystrophy charity, DECA members walked around the crowd collecting money for one minute during halftime. They were able to reach their goal, and the group hopes that this money can help people affected by this disease.

For those who think one minute is too short a time, Ashley Engstrom, a junior in DECA responded “we raised a nice amount of money, and a large majority of DECA students participated.” DECA has not yet announced its next fundraising endeavor.
