SWAMPSCOTT- The National Honors Society, along with the Interact Club of Swampscott High School has decided to host a clothing drive for the families living in Merrimack Valley who recently lost their belongings due to a fire caused by a gas explosion.  Driving thousands of people out of Lawrence, the fire burned nearly 80 buildings, including many homes. “Items which may be donated to those in need include; athletic clothing, fall jackets, old clothes, black jeans (size 5-10), toiletries, new socks & underwear, and gift cards”, says Ms. DeOrio of Swampscott High School. Donations will be accepted at Swampscott High School in the atrium between September 24 and October 15. Any and all donations are accepted, as the High School community is putting forth an effort to help those in need.
