Swampscott High school will be hosting a Halloween dance on Friday, October 20 from 7pm to 10pm. It is being organized and sponsored by the class of 2020.

The dance is meant to give kids a safe option for celebrating Halloween with friends without having to go somewhere like Salem where crowds can be overwhelming. Mr. Bennett explained, “The crowds in Salem can be overwhelming, so the dance may be a better way to show off your costume and dance moves!” Students from all grades are welcome to attend, and it is taking place in the cafeteria. The average turnout for the Halloween dance is between 300-400 people, so it has become the most successful dance year to year. The dance has been held every year for over 12 years.
